Text Messaging Privacy Policy

Neurotech is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personally identifying information. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose your personal information with respect to text messages we may use to communicate with you. Receiving text messages is optional. You can choose not to receive text messages. If you choose to receive text messages and change your mind, you can opt-out of receiving text messages as explained in our Text Messaging Terms and Conditions. Neurotech uses Marketing Cloud Marketing Cloud to communicate with you through text message if you agree to receive text messages. Marketing Cloud is a cloud-based software-as-a-service product.

Neurotech will revise this privacy policy as we change our practices or text messaging service provider. You should refer to this policy for the latest information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Neurotech collects certain personally identifying information as part of providing health care services to patients. This information is part of a patient’s record. We may share some of this information with Marketing Cloud in order to send you text messages. Neurotech and Marketing Cloud use the following identifying information about you and/or the patient, so we can send you text messages:

  • Mobile telephone number
  • Patient first and last name
  • Patient ID
  • Appointment dates/times
  • Downpayment information (if applicable)

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

TEXT MESSAGE DATA

If you consent to text message communications, Neurotech uses Marketing Cloud to send the following types of text messages:

  • Appointment related communications
  • Patient surveys
  • Downpayment reminder

Neurotech does not sell or rent information about you. Neurotech does not share your information with unaffiliated third parties except as needed to complete a transaction or perform a service you requested or consented to, or to support the operation and maintenance of services we provide. When an unaffiliated third party such as Marketing Cloud acts solely on behalf of Neurotech, we require them to follow applicable privacy laws and our privacy practices. Neurotech and Marketing Cloud do not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

TEXT MESSAGE SECURITY

Neurotech is committed to protecting the security of your information. We use security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. Regardless of those measures, data transmitted over the Internet or other network cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. This applies to text messages we may send you. We do not guarantee complete security of any information transmitted through text messages.

LAW ENFORCEMENT AND COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

Neurotech cooperates with government and laws enforcement officials when required by law. We may disclose personally identifiable information, personal information, text message data, and other information about you, if we determine that doing so is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with laws, regulations, or legal processes (e.g., subpoena or court order);
  • Comply with an enforceable government request;
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or
  • Protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Neurotech, its patients, or the public as required or permitted by law.

TEXT MESSAGE RETENTION

Marketing Cloud keeps the text messages for one month after which they are deleted.

We process and store all information in the United States. When you agree to receive text messages from Neurotech, you agree that the collection, use, transfer, and disclosure of your information and text messages will be governed by applicable United States laws.
