Neurotech is proud to be an actively engaged member of the larger epilepsy community. We are dedicated to educating ourselves to remain abreast of the latest research findings, recommended treatments and other significant changes relating to epilepsy and other neurological disorders.
Epilepsy is a chronic medical condition marked by repeated intermittent seizures (an event of altered brain function caused by abnormal or excessive electrical discharges from brain cells). As one of the most common neurological disorders, epilepsy affects up to 1 percent of the population in the United States. More than 45,000 children ages 18 and younger are diagnosed with epilepsy every year.
Epilepsy has several causes, which can be genetic or acquired (post-encephalitis). Other causes could include a shortage of oxygen (post-hypoxia) or a brain injury (post-trauma) occurring any time in life. Epilepsy/seizures can be treated a number of ways, however, medication is the most common approach used.

CeCe Cares Initiative
Neurotech is a proud sponsor of CeCe Cares, a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides resources to families struggling with epilepsy. Approximately one-third of donations received is used to deliver a 22-inch, specially designed teddy bear to children with epilepsy, while the remaining balance is donated to the families burdened by mounting healthcare costs.
Angel Wings Foundation
Angel Wings Foundation’s mission is to enhance the lives of those affected by epilepsy and allow them to reach their full potential by independent living independently in the community.
Living with epilepsy can be extremely difficult. Many people have seizures every day and in spite of their challenges, they want to do things other adults do, including living independently. Angel Wings Foundation will create a new housing model that will service adults with epilepsy. We will build and create homes, warm and loving homes with supports in place, where like-abled people with epilepsy can be happy, safe and independent. A home where family members can rest assured knowing that their loved one is cared for-well beyond their passing. Angel Wings Foundation will create an exceptional quality of life for its residents.
